lyrics
Can you feel the mountain sun? It’s gonna tell you where to run
Over the hillside under the blue skies, it feels good to be alive
It feels good to be alive
I found a light in this dark and weary night
A flicker in the shadows we could barely breathe
I found a light in this dark and weary night
It keeps calling out to me
When the moon is on the rise
You’re gonna stare into my eyes
Tell me everything that you hope and dream
To have and hold before you die
We turn the corner, an open road ahead
We write our own stories from beginning to the end
Can you feel the morning sun? It’s gonna tell you where to run
Over the hillside under the blue skies, it feels good to be alive
It feels good to be alive
Two favorites on one disc. First time I heard this one was at my only chance to see Sarah Shook live, and the release of this 7" was announced. Sjoerd Groos
There's only one track on this whole album I don't adore. The other nine would be my favorite track on almost any other album they stumbled into. "Years" is like the perfect Best Of album for a band that's been steadily putting out records for decades.
'Caroline Reese and the Drifting Fifth' level stuff here. burrito741
